2018 has finally begun and it’s almost over

October 19, 2018 · IBD & Ostomy, My Diary

2018 has been the worst year of my life. I was in hospital, had 2 major emergency surgeries in the space of 5 months, have basically been in recovery all year and in limbo waiting to move house. I was fast asleep in my hospital bed ill, tired and weak when 2018 officially rang in, Happy Fucking New Year. Every other year before that I’ve been at a party with friends getting stupid drunk, dancing, singing and laughing until theView Post

We moved house! – What Happened in September

October 5, 2018 · My Diary

September is always a time for fresh starts. Yes, I’ve been out of education for 4 years but it still always feels like a good time of year to refresh and go. And now things have finally kicked off in 2018 for me! I know we’re 9/10 months in but it actually feels like my life is coming together and this year hasn’t been a complete shit show (pun intended). I can’t believe I can finally say it in oneView Post

I am extremely excited but also very nervous as there’s a lot of work to do and I’ve just moved house so fingers crossed I don’t freak out with stress. Basically, I started The Hormone Diaries as a series on my YouTube channel over 2 years ago. Also, wow 2 years. I just had to check when the first episode was uploaded and omgView Post

The Balance Between Creativity and Business

The Balance Between Creativity and Business

September 11, 2018 · Career

This whole year has been a creative crisis for me. Although I’m a “Content Creator” I don’t consider myself especially creative. I believe there’s this spectrum that most people fall on somewhere between creative person and business person. I definitely feel like I’m on the business side. This year I’ve been coming more to terms with that by being more future-orientated and figuring out my long-term goals and how to reach them. I’ve even been talking about money a lotView Post

What Happened in July & August

What Happened in July & August

August 31, 2018 · My Diary

I never wrote my “what happened in July” blog post because I was taking a work break (as you shall read about). So here’s what happened in July and August! Work break and no social media The only breaks I’ve taken from work this year have been when I’m in hospital so I don’t think that really counts. I did go to LA for 2 weeks but I was still working and on social media. In July last year DanView Post

Last week I met the one and only Emily Nagoski, an Last week I met the one and only Emily Nagoski, and her twin Amelia! They were in London giving a talk about their book Burnout and unlocking the stress cycle (I currently don’t have access to good sleep so I’ll have to pick laughing and crying instead! 😂😅😭)

Emily is an incredible sex educator (Come As You Are author!) and I’ve been inspired and influenced by her work over the years 💖 I also interviewed her on my podcast @doingitpodcast via the interwebs in 2021 so it was lovely to be able to meet in person!
